Tatanagar is the main railway station of Jamshedpur. It is situated in Khasmahal, Jugsalai .It is established in December 1907 and electrified in 1957. It comes under Chakradharpur Division and South Eastern Railways. It lies in Howrah- Mumbai line and connect to places like Delhi,Mumbai,Chennai. Kolkata, Patna etc. It has 6 platforms and everyday 100 trains are departed and arrived from it. It is one of the largest station of South Eastern Railways.
